Recommendation technologies are used on this information resource.
These Rules describe how the website thetaste.io and its versions for mobile devices and messengers (the Service) determine the order in which venues and materials are displayed. The document is published in accordance with Article 10.2-2 of the Federal Law "On Information, Information Technologies and Information Protection"; access to it is free and unrestricted.

The Service is a restaurant guide. It offers curated selections of venues, profile pages for restaurants, bars, coffee shops, and hotels, as well as magazine articles. The order in which they are displayed is the subject of these Rules.
Information about the venues themselves: city, type of venue, cuisine, district, average check, opening hours, and other attributes entered by the editorial team. Editorial ratings and other general indicators that are the same for all visitors. Choices the visitor makes themselves at the time: the selected city, interface language, applied filters, search query, and the page currently open.
The Service does not build a profile of visitor preferences. The display order does not take into account: a specific visitor's browsing and click history, their behavior during previous visits, data from the visit counter, information obtained from external sources, or information about other visitors. Two visitors who open the same page with the same filters see the same display order.
By choosing a city, applying or removing filters, entering a search query, and choosing a language. Because no personal preference profile is built, there is no separate option to turn off personalization: the display order does not depend on the visitor's identity in the first place. Cookies can be disabled in the browser settings; this does not affect the display order.
Questions and requests concerning these Rules should be sent to me@polikarpov.me. A response is provided within no more than thirty days of receiving the inquiry.
The current edition of the Rules is always published on this page; the edition date is indicated at the beginning of the document. If the Service introduces personal recommendations that take a specific visitor's preferences into account, the Rules will be supplemented with a description of the information collected, its sources, and how to opt out of personalization.
