Breakfast Review at Restaurant Kikodze

The gastro bar is located in the "Vinzavod" cluster, home to dozens of decent spots. I started getting to know the space with breakfast at Kikodze: a pleasant interior, unhurried service — as is customary in Tbilisi — and a well-thought-out menu. Morning items are available from 9am to 5pm. 

What did I try?

• Syrniki. I'd had my eye on them ever since I was strolling through "Vinzavod," and in the end I ordered them and didn't regret it. Good to look at and good to taste.
• Bowl with buckwheat, avocado, and a poached egg. Solid, though it was missing grated parmesan on top. 
• Coffee. Far from the best. I don't consider Tbilisi a coffee capital and don't have overly high expectations, but I'm still disappointed — why can't the morning drink be perfected? Everyone's idea of perfect is probably different, but since you're reading this channel, our sense of what's beautiful probably lines up?
• Eggs Benedict with salmon. Pretty decent, but the brioche could have been better. 

Unfortunately, that's all I ordered: my friend wasn't hungry, and I didn't dare eat more than 3 dishes. For now, Kikodze makes it onto the list of recommendations, but I'll come back to explore other items and update the review.
