Restaurant Manul has opened a summer veranda with a direct view of Teatralnaya Square and the Bolshoi Theatre's façade. The space turned out intimate and atmospheric: the furniture looks handmade from wood, fur upholstery on the chairs adds warmth, and light linen curtains sway in the wind, creating an illusion of shelter. Greenery from shrubs around the veranda shields guests from the noise of the center: currant, barberry, dogwood, and blackberry have bloomed right in their tubs, adding to the Siberian character. In this setting, the restaurant continues developing its kitchen's main idea — uniting wild Siberian nature with the urban environment.

The summer cocktail list was created by head bartender Maxim Ardatov. Each cocktail doesn't just play with aromas and textures — it references the mythology of Siberia's indigenous peoples. The new five-item set turned out cohesive in style but varied in mood. Legends come alive in flavor and aroma, and the drinks' names take root in ancient epic tales. It's not just a bar menu, but a story assembled from images of water, fire, plants, and forest fruit.
The "Sug-Eezi" cocktail opens the set. It combines elderflower liqueur, gin with lavender notes, blue matcha, and sparkling wine. The drink's image is inspired by Siberian rivers and the female spirits guarding the water element. Its flavor shifts as the bubbles open up, and it's that fluidity that conveys the character of the mighty Yenisei.

"Khan-Tigir" is fresh and rich, as if it transports you to the mountains. Gin with a green basil cordial, apple liqueur — all of it describes the breath of Taskhyl's snowy slopes and the power of the sky spirit descending from above. This cocktail is cold, green in flavor, with a light citrus tartness.
The "Chir-Ine" glass conveys the image of a goddess tied to fertility. It's built on prosecco and strawberry liqueur. The drink came out light, berry-forward, but not cloying — like late Siberian wild strawberry gathered in the forest: sweet, with a barely noticeable tartness.
"Ot-Ene" is the thickest and richest in the whole lineup. It's built on brandy infused with beeswax, with an herbal tonic and blueberry and angelica cordials added. The name translates as "Mother Fire," and this drink truly conveys coziness and warmth, like an evening by the fireplace.

The collection closes with "Tengri" — the most summery and fruity. Fresh watermelon juice, plum cordial, gin, and soda come together in one lively chord. The flavor is juicy, cool, recalling a watermelon just pulled from a well. It's not too sweet and refreshes wonderfully.
This whole cocktail lineup was created specifically for the summer veranda's opening and won't be repeated at another time of year. You can catch these drinks this summer, enjoying the theater's façade and a story told through flavor.
