Café chain Angel Cakes has rolled out a major spring update. The main change: chicken has been added to the menu for the first time. It can now be chosen as part of a bowl or added to any other dish. This addition doesn't just widen the choice — it also makes the menu more versatile. At the same time, the desserts that guests have long loved were left unchanged; the café team considers it important to preserve what regulars have grown used to.
The breakfast section grew by two bowls. Morning Glory combines sweet potato, egg, herbs, avocado, and pickled ginger. Aesthetic Breakfast offers a boiled egg, whipped butter, onion jam, and cheddar cheese. Both suit those looking for a heartier, more filling breakfast.

The starters have grown more varied. Sweet potato fries with cheese sauce and three kinds of spring rolls with homemade hummus have joined the menu. Filling options: tofu, chicken, and shrimp. Guacamole toasts are served on homemade yeast-free bread. You can choose toast with avocado, with salmon, feta, and miso beet, with egg and sage, with hummus and feta, or a green toast with mushrooms and ricotta cheese. Among the salads: a light kale-based option with crunchy nuts and parmesan.
Bowls are now available with any protein source. You can choose a version with chicken and plenty of vegetables, with salmon and beet hummus, with falafel and pomegranate, or with tofu and mango. The bowl's base can also be chosen to taste: a black-and-white rice mix, orzo, or quinoa.

Seasonal drinks make a logical addition to the updated menu. A strawberry-hibiscus punch has arrived, which can be drunk warm or cold. It's made from strawberry syrup, rose water, and strawberry tea with hibiscus syrup. Among the other new drinks: an espresso tonic with lemon and lemongrass. The matcha section has also been refreshed: it now includes ceremonial Keito matcha, a lemon-based matcha tonic, and matcha with lavender and foam.
Angel Cakes kept its familiar format while adding more flexibility. There's now something here both for those who prefer plant-based food and for those who choose meat. The update touched everything, from breakfast to drinks — but the menu still holds what people have grown used to: the desserts stayed the same.
