Seasonal newcomers at J'PAN: vivid dishes, original drinks, and delicious desserts
15.04.25

Japanese bistro J'PAN has rolled out a spring menu update. The team added new dishes and drinks and reworked beloved items. The update is a rich one, covering rolls, ramen, bowls, light starters, and desserts. Changes also hit the coffee and tea lists, which now have unusual flavors built around matcha, papaya, yuzu, and even Japanese soda.

In the starters section: open rolls with tuna or salmon on a crisp nori base — a format that's easy to eat with your hands, street-food style, like in Tokyo. Negimaki rolls, familiar from Japanese bars, are back, wrapped around enoki mushrooms and green onion. Another newcomer: tuna with stracciatella cheese, edamame beans, and avocado. Light mini-starters suit those switching into spring mode: marinated soy sprouts and fried eggplant have joined the menu. You can now also add protein to the vegetable salad — salmon, chicken, tofu, or shrimp.

Among the hot dishes: two new ramens on chicken broth. One with miso and chicken, the other with beef and shiitake mushrooms. Beef udon is back under a new name: it's now sukiyaki udon, with a rich broth, a marinated yolk, and thinly sliced meat. In the noodle bowl section: a spicy mazemen soboro with ground chicken and mushrooms, and soba gyuniku with beef. The updated chirashidon donburi is even more vivid, built from tuna, scallop, salmon, and avocado.

Dendro matcha joined the drinks menu — a warm drink built on an americano with matcha tea, light floral notes, and lime. The matcha section grew with two new flavors: a bubble gum milkshake and a mango-cherry drink with coconut milk and fruit purée. The coffee list expanded too: there's now a filter-tonic with a woody-citrus flavor and yuzu, a ramune latte with a Japanese-soda flavor, and a creamy raf with tea and papaya. Among the tapioca drinks: a new caramel flavor with soba powder on almond milk.

Among desserts: updated mochi with spring flavors. One version is mint and lemon with curd and cream; the second, cherry with almond, shaped like a peach; the third, bubble gum with a popping-candy filling. All of them are vivid, fragrant, and styled in the spirit of Japanese sweets, evoking the blossoming season.
