Monet
Lenina, 217A
A premium hotel in Sochi, right by the sea among conifer trees. The property became a meeting point of past and present: it once housed the well-known "USSR" sanatorium, and the building has now been given a second life with updated interiors and a high level of service.
The Monet grounds include a cozy park where you can stroll in the shade of relict trees and relax in dedicated areas with cocoon chairs.
The walk to the beach runs through shady green avenues and takes just five minutes. In the cold season you can swim in the heated pool, open year-round. A ten-minute walk brings you to Sochi's largest oceanarium and dolphinarium, and a 40-minute drive takes you to the Rosa Khutor and Krasnaya Polyana ski resorts.
The room interiors are understated, in a pleasing color palette. The panoramic windows look out onto the park, and the balcony is a good spot to unwind with a cup of tea after a busy day.
