Summer Cocktails and Candles at Kalabasa.

Summer season has kicked off at Kalabasa on Baumanskaya: the venue's team has refreshed the cocktail menu, reopened the inner-courtyard veranda, and unveiled three new scented candles from the Kalabasa Home Collection. All the new arrivals tie into summer's main theme — lightness, freshness, and homey comfort.

Head bartender Maxim Artemov's new signature cocktails are built on fruity and floral motifs. Every drink conveys the summer mood in its own way. Lilt is a light, refreshing cocktail with peach soju and Riesling, topped with a pineapple foam that gives the drink an airy quality. Sway is built from Aperol, sakura soju, raspberry liqueur, and sparkling wine — a rich cocktail with citrus notes and hints of blooming sakura. Ripple balances aroma and acidity: it combines sake, plum soju, a rose-and-grapefruit liqueur, with lime rounding it off. The menu also has the classic Aperol Spritz, a foolproof choice for a hot day.

The summer menu can now be tried on the veranda, located in the inner courtyard of the pink building on Baumanskaya. The space is done in Kalabasa's signature style: wooden tables, patterned rugs, plenty of greenery, and even sun loungers. The veranda reopened for the season and immediately became an extension of the restaurant's concept — intimate, homey, a little fairy-tale-like.

Alongside the drinks, Kalabasa has prepared three new candles, all from the Kalabasa Home Collection line. BASL is a ripe-tomato-colored candle, its scent where green basil meets sweet-sour tomato flesh. PEPR is spicy and a bit exotic, with black pepper and neroli. PURE is the most delicate scent of the three, with floral shades over a spicy base.

This summer, Kalabasa is betting on atmosphere. The cocktails, the candles, the veranda — together they create the feeling that you've gotten out of the city, even though you're still right in the center. Summer at Kalabasa is about lightness, pleasant flavors, and scents worth remembering.
