AVA Team's third bistro brings together gastronomy, design, and painting in one space
18.06.25

A new AVA Bistro has opened at the intersection of Tverskoy Boulevard and Bolshaya Nikitskaya — the third venue from AVA Team. It continues the brand's gastronomic expansion, already a favorite among Muscovites on Tsvetnoy Boulevard and at the start of Tverskaya. The place turned out atmospheric: the interior recalls the cabin of a Mediterranean yacht, moored in the noisy city center yet hinting at vacation and an unhurried pace. Design plays an important role here — developed by studio Slushaeva.Studio, which styled the space in gold-honey tones, with red wood, glossy surfaces, and gray-blue furniture that seems to gently draw guests inside.

Depending on which table you choose, AVA Bistro can feel romantic, festive, or full of life. Near the window: a spot for a quiet dinner with a view of the boulevards. Deeper in the room: a zone with white tablecloths and soft light, where it's easy to picture an important celebration. And closer to the open kitchen, the atmosphere turns more dynamic — the smell of fresh bread, coffee, and pastry hangs in the air. Scents in general play a role of their own here: the dessert case at the entrance, bread straight from the oven, thin-crust pizzettas — everything says you won't leave hungry.

The new AVA Bistro goes beyond gastronomy. The venue has become a platform for a project with ASKERI GALLERY: works by artist Pavel Polyansky are on display. Among them: "Strange Shadows," "Wolves," "Foreign Element," and "Escape." The exhibition's themes — digitalization, nature, humanity, and their mutual influence — raise questions that are hard to answer but interesting to ponder over a cup of coffee or a glass of wine. The space works on several senses at once — taste, sight, and mood.

The menu combines AVA's recognizable hits with new ideas. Breakfast can start with "cheese pancakes without cheese, but with raspberry," a shrimp-and-unagi scramble, or a flaky basket with cream and berries. By day, they serve rolls, tom yum, beef with port-wine caramel, and pizzettas on airy dough that's undergone a 24-hour fermentation. In the evening: dinners with scallops and raclette cheese, hand rolls with crab, salmon, and shrimp. And sweets get a chapter of their own. A chocolate-covered banana cake, poppy-seed eclairs, and the signature gold-covered smetannik (sour-cream cake) rack up hundreds of likes on social media.

The bistro's opening on Bolshaya Nikitskaya fits logically into the route of the capital's cultural life. Dozens of theaters surround it, and every evening is an occasion to stop by before or after a show. For the owners — Anton Pinsky, Artyom Losev, and Vitaly Istomin — this marks a new stage in AVA Bistro's development. The venue doesn't just feed and delight — it creates a complete experience: visual, gastronomic, cultural. And it seems guests are expected back here again and again — whether for breakfast or a late dinner.
