On August 22 at 7 p.m., restaurant INNER will hold a dinner-vernissage in collaboration with artist Anastasia Klimova. The event will premiere the "Inner Forest" painting cycle and launch a new project uniting art and gastronomy. Guests can expect the artist's works and a specially created menu in which the taste and scent of nature take center stage. The evening's atmosphere promises to recall a walk through a dense forest, where every element engages several senses at once.

Three paintings from Klimova's new cycle will be placed in the restaurant's interior. In them, viewers can see the play of light and shadow, white birch trunks, the movement of foliage, and the silhouettes of treetops. Guests will study the canvases, finding their own images in them, while also sensing this theme continued in the cocktails and desserts. Among the drinks will be a signature cocktail with pinecone vermouth, gin, and herbal Fernet Branca, marked by a resinous, slightly bitter flavor.
A layered dessert from pastry chef Ksenia Solovyova has also been prepared for the evening. In it, a delicate sage yogurt cream combines with black currant confit. Citrus sorbet and a gin-based granita add a cool complement, and calendula petals finish the composition, recalling the last days of summer.

The joint project between the restaurant and the artist continues the practice of uniting contemporary art with gastronomy. For Anastasia Klimova, this isn't her first collaboration with Alexey Alekseev's restaurants — her work can also be seen at Itameshi. A St. Petersburg native, part of an artistic dynasty, and a student of Vladimir Kagarlitsky, she's developed her own style that blends different artistic techniques. At INNER, her paintings will create a new dialogue between painting and cuisine, amplifying the impression each makes.
