The cuisine is modern Russian, with seasonal produce and work with local farmers shaping the menu. It opens with the Raw Bar section — oysters, sea urchin and crab leg. Next come cold and hot starters, soups and salads. There's a wide choice of hot dishes: fish, meat and grilled fare. At Savva, a separate section brings together "Metropol" Russian classics — okroshka, solyanka and salads made from historic recipes. Our restaurant guide recommends trying the beef tagliata and the botvinya with Lake Ladoga zander.
