Starting your morning here is a pleasure, because the hearty dishes and the place's energy keep you going for hours. Besides the signature Mátes breakfast with eggs, sausage, fried potatoes, oyster mushrooms and garlic aioli, there's also a cheesecake with cream, shakshuka, and green buckwheat with tomatoes. The main menu features sandwiches, salads and desserts. Interestingly, you choose the sandwich size yourself — S or L, depending on your appetite, and honestly, it tends to grow here. Patriarch's Ponds has an unwritten rule that every spot must offer plant-based milk, and Mátes is no exception. There's a drink for every taste, with seasonal ones drawing attention by name — an espresso tonic with elderflower, lime and pomegranate filter.
