ENO Bistro

ENO Bistro in Skolkovo runs as a country bistro, where the city restaurant script meets the feeling of getting away from Moscow. Meshchersky Park is nearby, there's more open air here than in the center, and the space itself is set up so people come not for a quick dinner but for a long visit with wine, food and a break from the city. The project was created by Folk Team together with Vinicom, and its dual focus reads immediately: the kitchen and the wine hold equal footing here.

Our guide's team finds ENO Bistro's main strength isn't showiness but the country atmosphere itself and the large terrace after a walk.

Inside, the restaurant spans two levels. The ground floor has a large room with panoramic windows and access to the garden; upstairs is a space with a sloped roof and a more intimate mood. The interior was designed by the Static Aesthetic bureau. There's plenty of wood, light, natural textures and details that genuinely recall a modern country house rather than stylized restaurant decor. That makes the place easy to read as a draw for family lunches, unhurried breakfasts and calm dinners.

The kitchen is led by Eduard Sorokovikov. The menu is built around the idea of "foraging, hunting, farming," though what matters more than the slogan is how it plays out on the plate. The cooking uses farm vegetables, fish and game, and the overall approach stays seasonal and fairly calm in tone. Breakfast is served on weekends, and that format feels especially natural for the place: after a walk, the cheesecakes, potato waffles with caviar and other morning dishes work well, with no sense of rush.

Wine in this project isn't a background accompaniment to the food — it exists as its own center of gravity. The list is led by Irina Sazonova, and a wine shop with a tasting program operates alongside the bistro. Because of that, ENO Bistro lives not just as a restaurant but as a venue for wine-and-food dinners, intimate gatherings, and evenings where choosing the bottle genuinely matters. In summer, grill brunches and the large garden terrace especially support this side of the project.

ENO Bistro works best as a calm country restaurant with a wine focus, rather than a place to judge by the standards of a loud city opening. What matters here is space, light, the terrace, breakfast after the park, and a long dinner with wine. Seen through that lens, the project reads far more accurately and honestly.
