Chinese Puzzle

"Chinese Puzzle" is a project by restaurateur Alexander Rappoport.

It's one of Moscow's most popular Chinese restaurants, blending Cantonese culinary tradition with a contemporary approach to presentation.

The restaurant's interior combines elements of a classic English pub with Chinese sculptures from the Han and Tang dynasties, as well as art objects from the Cultural Revolution era. The design is by Diana Generalova, who managed to create a distinctive atmosphere blending different cultural eras. Inside are a red lacquered floor, white tufted armchairs, round tables covered in white tablecloths, and bar stools with burgundy leather upholstery and studs. The decor includes large painted vases with floral arrangements, and glass cabinets with decorative ceramics, vases and figurines. A dark-wood bar counter adds vintage flair.

The restaurant's menu covers a wide range, from popular dim sum and smashed cucumbers to more exotic dishes, such as chicken feet and veal tongue in crispy pig's ear. The bar list offers a wide range of classic and signature cocktails with Asian notes, and an extensive wine list featuring bottles from various winemaking regions around the world.
