Ethno-bistro "Tales of the Sun" is a new project by the Make More Group team, located in the historic center of Kazan, on Musy Dzhalilya Street.
The venue's concept is inspired by the culinary traditions of the peoples of Russia.
The interior is built from natural materials with nods to ancient dwellings. The walls are covered in red and blue clay with an uneven texture, decorated with cave-painting-style drawings of abstract figures, symbols and scenes from the life of ancient peoples. The furniture is substantial, in raw wood and stone. The tables and benches are roughly hewn and monolithic in form, and the chairs have simple but comfortable construction. At the center of the room is an open kitchen with a hearth and a Russian stove, where dishes are cooked over live fire.
The menu reflects the culinary traditions of Russia's peoples, offering a range of dishes made with local ingredients. Among the mains: catfish with a potato bake, lamb tongue, a sockeye salmon steak with cabbage, and lamb heart with carrot purée. Among the appetizers: trout with roasted peppers, sugudai made with muksun whitefish, scallop with baked apple, and a salad with northern shrimp. The cocktail list includes eight original mixes, and the wine list offers popular selections.
