The restaurant's name references the myth of the goddess Amaterasu, who passed her wisdom to Japan's first emperor through the game OSHI.
OSHI Izakaya is a contemporary, cozy izakaya in the center of Moscow, inspired by Japanese tradition and legend.
The restaurant's interior is a contemporary reading of Japanese aesthetics. Golden walls are decorated with delicate plant motifs and floral patterns. Mirrored ceiling panels visually expand the space and add lightness to the interior. Inside, black lacquered tables with a thin gold trim pair with velvet armchairs in deep burgundy tones. The centerpiece is a long bar counter with an open kitchen. Japanese accents come through in the decor: a samurai figure in traditional armor, floral arrangements in a sakura spirit, and minimalist table settings.
The menu is a harmonious blend of traditional Japanese cuisine and contemporary gastronomic trends. Chef Glen Ballis offers a wide range of dishes, including sushi, sashimi, tartares, ceviche, noodles, fried rice and grilled dishes. Special attention is paid to fresh seafood and ingredient quality. The bar list was developed by the team from the bar Mendeleev and includes signature cocktails with an Asian accent.
