A wellbeing bistro by White Rabbit Family and Ksenia Sobchak on Bolshaya Nikitskaya. MediterrAsian cuisine, Neapolitan pizza, and a Funktion-One sound system — a place you want to come back to every day.
Concept chef Evgeny Kravchenko built the menu at the intersection of the Mediterranean and Japan — a direction the team calls MediterrAsian. In the morning, She runs as a coffee shop with light breakfasts; by lunchtime it shifts into bistro mode; and in the evening it opens up into a full restaurant with a cocktail list and a lively atmosphere. The Neapolitan-oven pizza is worth a trip on its own: plenty of unconventional topping combinations, and the dough is done right — the kind of item people come back for. The Japanese side of the menu adds balance: sashimi, poke and light appetizers offset the heavier Italian dishes.
Our guide's team rated breakfast and dinner at She 7 out of 10. One of those central spots you're drawn to drop into without a reason, just on the way somewhere.
The two-floor space was designed by Natalia Belonogova. Behind the visible simplicity is a philosophy of conscious consumption: the bar stools and elements of the staff uniforms are made from recycled plastic, part of the furniture is assembled from fragments of broken chairs, and two chandeliers made of plaster and plastic are entirely handmade. The ground floor has the open kitchen and raw bar; the second floor holds the main bar and that same Neapolitan oven.
Sound here isn't background — it's part of the experience. A Funktion-One system, the kind usually installed in clubs, produces sound that's dense yet soft. The crowd skews young, the atmosphere is relaxed, with no snobbery or dress code. You can sit at the bar counter when the room is packed and feel just as comfortable as at a table by the window.
The raw bar on the ground floor is a particular pleasure. Fresh oysters, tartares and ceviche are gathered into a compact menu that works equally well as a cocktail snack or as a light meal on its own. The cocktail list is thoughtful but not overloaded — classics with neat original touches.
For everyday visits, whether breakfast, lunch or an evening hangout, She remains one of the most organic spots on Bolshaya Nikitskaya. A restaurant that doesn't try to be more than it is, and that's exactly why it works.
