Restaurant "Kitchen Gardeners" on Institutsky Prospekt is a project by Mark Lapin, opened in the historic estate of engineer Danilevsky, built in 1911. The venue is styled as a "restaurant-dacha," where contemporary comfort meets a homey atmosphere.
The concept is built on respect for Russian culinary tradition, reflected in every element of the space and the menu.
The restaurant's interior evokes an old estate, where every detail underscores a sense of coziness and history. The space is done in light tones with an emphasis on natural materials — wood, linen, ceramics. High ceilings, large windows and soft diffused light create a sense of openness, while historic finishing details preserve the character of an early-20th-century home. Inside, understated furniture, muted-toned textiles and green plants shape a calm, countryside mood.
The menu is built around seasonal cooking and dishes from Russia's regions. Here you can try monastery shchi, Amur-style pelmeni, pike-perch zrazy, house-made pickles and pies. The kitchen is grounded in quality local ingredients and traditional recipes presented with contemporary plating. The restaurant offers a children's menu, and the service is geared toward a calm, homey atmosphere.
