Terra et Silva

Restaurant Terra et Silva in Kazan is a project by Vladimir Kirillov and Fanis Garafiev, the creators of Begin Cafe, located on Podluzhnaya, a step from the Kremlin embankment.

The second floor is a bar area with a more intimate atmosphere, rounded out with soft sofas and original lighting design.

The restaurant's design, by bureau Duplex, is inspired by natural motifs. Natural materials dominate the interior: wood, stone, linen and metal. The space is done in calm, natural tones. Inside are substantial wooden beams, textured walls and elements recalling the shapes of trees and buds. The ground floor has an open kitchen, letting guests watch the cooking process. The central focus is on natural textures and decorative elements — dried flowers, stone inlays and sculptural fixtures evoking a forest thicket. In summer, guests can settle onto the spacious terrace surrounded by greenery, making the visit even cozier and more relaxing.

The kitchen is led by Aigiz Gizzatov, known for his work at Moscow venues and the project Zhirok. The menu blends European and Mediterranean culinary tradition with an emphasis on seasonal ingredients, cured meats and forest ingredients. Among the mains: steaks, roasted vegetables and handmade pasta. Special attention is given to drinks: non-alcoholic cocktails, natural lemonades and original teas underscore the concept of naturalness and harmony with nature. No alcohol is served on the ground floor.
