A project by Igor Vitoshinsky and the Sicilian Nino Graziano, holder of two Michelin stars. The only restaurant from Russia on the 70 Best Restaurants with Pizzeria 2026 list.

Behind La Bottega Siciliana's kitchen is Nino Graziano, the Sicilian chef whose restaurant Il Mulinazzo in Sicily was the first on the island to earn two Michelin stars, in 2002. The Moscow project has existed since 2012, and in January 2026 it became the only Russian restaurant on the international 70 Best Restaurants with Pizzeria list — a ranking of the world's best pizzeria-restaurants.

Our guide's team finds La Bottega Siciliana a rare case for Moscow: Italian cuisine that isn't adapted to local tastes but keeps its genuine Sicilian character.

At the helm of the kitchen from day one has been Italian chef Claudio Pirovano, a student of Nino Graziano. The menu's philosophy is built on working with ingredients in their natural state: minimal processing, maximum flavor. The pizza is baked in a wood-fired oven brought in specially from Italy — Neapolitan dough with a crisp crust and soft center, considered one of the best in the city. The menu features classic antipasti, fresh house-made pasta, seafood, grilled dishes, and Nino's own signature recipes, carried over from the days of Il Mulinazzo.

The restaurant is located on Okhotny Ryad, steps from Red Square and the Bolshoi Theatre. The 120-seat space combines several formats: a main room with an open kitchen, a pizzeria, a café-patisserie and a gelateria. In summer, a terrace operates practically in the shadow of the Kremlin walls, one of the best-located in central Moscow.

The wine list reflects the Sicilian character — about 70% of the labels are from the island, from refreshing whites off Etna to full-bodied reds from Noto. The pastry program deserves particular attention: cannoli, almond semifreddo, and house-made gelato made on-site. La Bottega Siciliana is one of the few places in Moscow with its own gelateria.

La Bottega Siciliana is a project by restaurateur Igor Vitoshinsky, who has created several landmark Italian restaurants in Moscow. It works equally well for a quick pizza lunch, an unhurried dinner with Sicilian wine, and morning breakfasts overlooking the city center.
