AGA

AGA is a project by restaurateur Alexander Shavliashvili, located on the Petrograd Side of St. Petersburg.

Panoramic windows and a large terrace round out the atmosphere of luxury.

The interior is contemporary with an emphasis on natural materials and warm tones. Inside are wooden tables, leather chairs, walls of wood and marble, and an open kitchen with a wood-fired oven and an ice display for seafood. A glass chandelier hangs from the ceiling, and live plants are placed throughout the rooms.

The menu is led by brand chef Almaz Iskakov and chef Pavel Sukhoparov. The main focus is on Italian and Mediterranean cuisine. Among the appetizers are Sicilian olives, Cantabrian anchovies with mozzarella, a cheese selection with house-made preserves, fritto misto with salsa verde, and marbled-beef tartare with egg yolk and parmesan. Among the mains: sea bass fillet in acqua pazza sauce and wild sea bass in guazzetto sauce, Sicilian-style octopus, New York and Ribeye steaks, plus a wide selection of pizzas and pastas. For dessert, try the handmade chocolates, a Bellini, tiramisu, the signature crème brûlée, a Napoleon, ice cream or sorbet. The bar list offers a wide range of classic and signature drinks.
