Mama Tuta is Aram Mnatsakanov's first Georgian restaurant, dedicated entirely to Georgia.
The menu is led by Gia Khuchua, who carefully and respectfully retells the country's culinary traditions in a contemporary way.
Expect a textured Adjarian khachapuri with two kinds of cheese, ravioli with kuchmachi and chanterelles, juicy khinkali — but above all, hot "shotis puri" flatbreads from the clay tone oven, served free to every table.
The wine list is interesting and well-paced, standing out for its selection of orange wine. The restaurant's space evokes a Georgian courtyard — dim light, spot lighting, plenty of greenery alongside weathered wood.
