Bagebi is a Georgian restaurant by Andrey Telesh and Rezo Makharadze, where Maka Zakaraia and Evgeny Dokunin prepare Georgian recipes in their own interpretation.

The address on Prechistenka gives the restaurant an almost museum-like scale: the Tsereteli Gallery and the Academy of Arts are nearby, and the building itself is linked to the Dolgorukov estate. Inside are intimate rooms with painted vaults, a separate bar, wine storage, and a bright courtyard under a roof. The arches recall the old entrance into the courtyard, and the wall scenes mix Italian painting, classical themes, and Old Russian motifs.

In the view of our restaurant guide's team, this is a case where far more was invested in the interior than in the quality of the food.

The restaurant's name is taken from Tbilisi's Bagebi district, important to the Tsereteli family. In the Moscow dining rooms this connection is visible not through decor for decor's sake, but through the artist's actual works: paintings, graphics, and sculpture from various years that had previously remained in the family collection.

The kitchen rests on familiar recipes from different Georgian regions but serves them in a more contemporary restaurant form. A separate part of the space is devoted to bread, wine, and live cooking: under the roof stand a tone oven, an open work area, and a large table for culinary dinners and masterclasses.
