Big Wine Freaks is a wine bar and gastro-bistro on Bolshaya Nikitskaya, created by Vladimir Basov and Artyom Tskhakaya. The venue operates as a Champagne & Wine Bar & Bistrot, offering an extensive wine list of organic, natural and biodynamic wines, including rare Champagne labels.

The interior was designed by the Italian studio Studio B-Arch, blending bohemian elegance with loft touches.

Inside, deep-toned velvet furniture, rugs with bold patterns, crystal chandeliers and soft theatrical lighting create an intimate, cozy space. The mix of textures, colors and light shapes an atmosphere where a wine dinner can smoothly turn into an evening of cocktails and music.

Chef Marat Kalaidzhyan's menu is built around European gastronomy, with an emphasis on seafood and bold flavors. Among the appetizers: wasabi shrimp, a gravlax salmon tartine, beef tenderloin tartare, and gougères with black truffle, gruyère and lard. Among the mains: octopus with romesco sauce, baked eggplant with lecho and labneh, and lamb with a vegetable side. The wine list runs to dozens of labels from around the world, including both accessible natural wines and rare vintages, and the sommelier's picks help pair a bottle with every dish.
